Oxford Valves | Gaschem designs and builds gas cylinder valves, regulators and engineered gas systems with a focus on leak-tight integrity, repeatable control and long service life. Our manufacturing and build process follows a controlled 12-stage workflow—applied across our C10 valves, fixed/vari/dial/demand regulator ranges, and the critical components used in manifolds, mixing panels and distribution skids.

From individual valves and regulators to complete engineered gas systems, we build with consistency, verification and practical field performance in mind.

Material Selection & Traceability

Certified brass, stainless steel and aluminium are used with batch traceability and incoming inspection.

Heat-lot traceability and incoming material inspection for gas valve bodies Brass / stainless bar-stock cutting and sawing for C10 cylinder valves Material test certificate review and batch tracking for regulator components

Material Verification & Preparation

Key properties are verified to ensure suitability for gas service, pressure duty and long-term reliability.

CNC turning of valve bodies and regulator housings for calibration gas service VMC milling of precision features for gas regulator assemblies Precision drilling, reaming, and port creation for leak-tight flow paths

Precision Machining (CNC/VMC)

Critical features are machined to tight tolerances—threads, sealing faces and flow paths—to ensure consistent fit and sealing.

 

Thread cutting and tapping of C10 inlet and outlet connections Deburring and edge-rounding of sealing faces for gas valves Seat lapping and surface-finish control for leak-tight valve closure

In-Process Inspection (SPC)

Dimensional and process checks are carried out during production to maintain consistency across batches and custom parts.

Deburring, Finishing & Cleaning

Components are deburred, finished and cleaned to remove residues and particulates. Cleanliness controls are applied where required, including preparation for oxygen or high-purity service.

Clean Assembly Preparation

Parts are kitted into controlled assembly cells and handled using defined torque and sealing practices.

Valves and regulators are assembled by trained technicians using calibrated tools and controlled build procedures.

Assembly of Manifolds & Panels

For engineered systems, assemblies are built and checked to specification—covering components, routing, mounting, valves, fittings and control elements.

Hydrostatic pressure testing up to 15,000 psi for cylinder valves Nitrogen leak testing and pneumatic pressure verification for regulators Proof and burst testing on hydropneumatic press for safety validation

Pressure & Leak Testing

Products and assemblies undergo pressure integrity and leak testing using pneumatic and/or hydrostatic methods aligned to the product or system requirement.

Flow calibration and verification of fixed, dial-a-flow, and vari-flow regulators Functional testing of demand flow regulators with instrument draw profiles Pressure decay and seat leak tests for C10 valve sealing performance

Functional & Flow Verification

Regulators and flow devices are verified for stability, repeatability and performance across operating ranges. Systems are checked for correct functionality and safe operation.

Validation Testing (Sampling)

Selected samples undergo additional validation (e.g., proof, burst, endurance or cycle checks where applicable) to confirm safety margins and long-term reliability.

Final Inspection, Documentation & Export Readiness

Final checks are completed and documentation is prepared where required (e.g., inspection records, test reports, certificates, HS codes). Products are packed for safe transit and export shipment.
